Default Help with 4x4 not engaging

I was on my way to work this morn (in 4x4 auto) when I hit a small pothole in the road. Immediately my headlights, dashlights, heater etc. all started powering off and on at about 2 second intervals. After about 6 or 7 times doing this they came on and stayed on. I turned around and came home. As I got home, I could not back up my (snowy) driveway. This is when I realized that 4x4 was not engaging. I tried all other settings, as well as starting and stopping engine, disconnecting battery, cleaning terminals, checking for loose wiring but nothing. Dash shows 4x4 auto but truck will not come out of 2wd. Flashing lights have come back as well. Complete power failure for 2 secs then back on then off, on, and so on. Engine has shown no symptoms. Continues to purr. Any help would be appreciated. specs below

Check the connector at the fuse box, might be loose. Also is your 4WD system push button of manual shift on the floor???

In case anyone runs into this issue what happened was the 4x4 actuator fried and took the tipm with it. Bottom line was a $1550.00 bill. Both must be replaced to correct all issues.
