I replaced a front drivers side axle about six months ago because the one on it seemed loose at the front end side ... i got a napa axle , installed it and this also seemd loose on inside ...i can grab the axle in by the front end housing and shake it around quit a bit , this don't seem right seeing as how the passenger side is tight with no play . If i remember right there was a small lock ring on the spline and i did put that back in but was there something else that needed to go in to hold it from flopping ? The spline itself seems nice and tight just the axle flops around on it like crazy . The truck runs prety good in 4x4 ...just started noticing a slight vibrating noise on drivers side and noticed the 6 month old axle is a bit looser then it was before .
