Default safe level of nitromethane

Is there a safe level of nitromethane that can be added to your gas that wont cause damage to you 5.7 hemi engine? like RC planes do regularly.
Any one experimented?
I currently am using NOS racing formula it has I belive a small amount and do notice a slight improvement in response, claims it wont hurt sensors and your cat.

Most fuel additives have been proven to not really do anything. The minute amounts in that stuff won't hurt anything. Today's gas has more than enough additives already in it that cures in a bottle just don't do much anymore.
