Climate control fan speed
I thought I posted this here, but I guess not.. anyhow..
On my climate controls, my lowest fan setting doesn't initiate any fan speed anymore. We typically like to keep the fan on the lowest setting too.
I'm thinking the contacts have corroded or fouled, any issues with spraying some contact cleaner in there to try and tidy things up a bit?
Are these things expensvie to replace? Whats typical shop time for a part like this?

It's probably the resistor, or a resistor pack in most vehicles. I've never worked on it on the Ram but that'll give you something to search so you can find its location and replacement info pretty quickly.
Yes. Each fan speed results from the current being fed through a different resistor. High speed = no resistance at all, which is why it almost never fails. When you lose a resistor, you lose its corresponding speed.
All you need is a phillips head screwdriver, I did it in the parking lot of the parts store when mine quit working.

Do it ur self cause u would probably get charged 100 bucks to install a anew one. it'll only take about 20 mins. i think its behind the glove box. but it really sounds like the blower motor resistor to me.
