I'd of been back at that dealership asking which truck with the exact same options and color they were switching me into.

I can understand that you are pissed!! If I might make a suggestion---send all your pics and a description of what happened to Daimler/Chrysler before the dealership is through with what ever repairs they agree to do. I'm sure they don't want new customers to be treated this way!!!

Hope it turns out OK for you

I was lucky enough when I recieved mine that the guys that I negotiated with took good care of it before I received it.

Do you know how to do that? Where do I send them? I could also just send them the link to my site

Holy *%$^!! I'd be pissed to. I definetly think you should file a complaint with D/C. At least call them and tell them the situation. Might get some good stuff out of it.

Man, that is rediculous. Shows total lack of respect. I'm glad my dealership is A++++. Just keep in mind that this is the DEALERSHIPS fault and not that of DC although I think that DC should know about it and want to make the situation right.

Update....

The dealership took responcibility, and didn MOST of the work so far, they were going to have it all done but ordered the wrong door side modling... They said the package must be mislabled, because he made sure he ordered the right parts before we came in... So now I am driving around with moldings on the Drivers side and none on the passenger side... Talk about funny looking, good thing it isn't really noticable unles someone is seriously checking out the truck.

Its good to hear that the dealership is FINALLY going to care of their own screw up. Did you ever contact DC? If you did, what did they have to say?

Jeff,

Welcome to S. Florida. I'm in Davie. Yeah they rape us down here despite our being close to the gulf.

The larger tank is the only other option I wish I had on my truck. If you get a chance there is a car hangout at the Tower Shops on Friday evenings (SE of 595 on University Dr.), about 200 cars/trucks (antiques, customs, hot rods, etc).

Sorry to hear anyone who has a bad buying experience. A few things that may just make you mad, but seem very strange.

Why did you go two states away to buy a vehicle?
" we bought the truck 2 states away..."
This seems like a very, very, extremly bad move. If it was a one of a kind super deal or a custom truck I could understand, but this... Is this your first vehicle purchase?

Which leads me to my second question, you had reservations with this dealership right from the get go. Obviously you should have listened to your gut, why didn't you?

Finally listen to everyone and contact DCX cusomter service here.. Send in all the make/model VIN information and all the info right off the dealer sticker. Then in writing describe the problems to them and tell them you can provide pictures and provide the website link. If this is a five star dealer they should loose a star, and even though they took resposibility it should have never happened in the first place and you can help other people from going through the same mess.

From my experience the Chrysler "star" system means absolutely nothing!

I have to wonder if the 5-star rating is out of a hundred stars max, or if they count down with one star being best, but don't tell us!

And "lose a star;" that's a laugh. Has anyone EVER seen a 4-star dealership?
