I've seen a dirty TB do it, bad IAT sensor do it and the EGR do it even when not bad enough to generate a CEL. I also know there was a PCM update out and a TSB specifically for this stalling issue...

Thanks for all the replies. This is a great forum!

My truck had been throwing a code from the CEL that was related to the EGR valve. I've been getting the error off and on for a couple of months and bought the part but hadn't had time to put it in until about 3 days ago (around the same time I started this thread). Well, after changing the EGR valve, it has not stalled.

I had also noticed a slight delay in the throttle response that had gotten a bit worse, and that has also been eliminated with the new EGR valve.

Now, if I could just get my intermittent wipers to work properly and get a new cover for my center console, the truck would be great!

Rule of thumb: I do the EGR for the whopping $30 at 50k miles whether it's generating a CEL or not. I clean the TB & IAT sensor at 15k, but 30k is probably good enough for most. I run my truck up at the farm a good bit and about 50% of the roads are dusty, Georgia red clay dirt roads, so I tend to clean anything air related more often than most need to...

Just to update since I have seen a few threads with similar problems lately. After replacing the EGR Valve, my truck has not displayed any of the symptoms I mentioned previously in this thread other than the wiper deal.

Hopefully this helps someone fix their truck someday.

I have an 07 2wd Hemi that is stalling, but not showing any codes. I am going to try these things to see if it helps. Thanks guys for the info.

I had that problem twice! First time I had a rough idle and eventually a code for my EGR, replaced it and was good for a few years. Recently I had a rough idle and frequent stalling when coming to a stop. I Cleaned out my TB with a can of seafoam that comes with a nozzle that lets you spray it in while the truck runs. Worked great, can't believe how smooth the idle is now and hasn't stalled yet. Can't promise it will work but it's a cheap option to try and cleaning the TB never hurts.
