Default 02 1500 losing radio, int lites, doorlocks

ive got an intermitant issue with my girls ram. started with the radio. 1 day it will come on then other days it wont. now interior lites wont work and sometimes door locks wont work. all these problems come and go and not all at the same time. anyone have issues like this or know what it could be? thanks

Hmm, radio power should be related from the ignition circuit. Interior lights? do you mean the cluster and heater control lights and such, those are linked with the headlight switch and circuit. If its the overhead lights, those are always powered (but are controlled with the battery save feature, if you leave them on, about 20 minutes after the truck is off the lights will turn off). Power locks are constantly powered and are not part of any battery saving circuitry.
Things to check... all of the ground connections, everywhere. Loose ground connections can be the biggest cause of "electrical gremlins". You may have to start pulling apart some of the panels and checking all of the electrical connector plugs - have a can of contact cleaner handy - it's designed to clean electrical connectors. Hopefully your fusebox is not the cause of all this. Is this truck up in the salt - i mean snow belt where corrosion is a bigger factor?

dang, that's low mileage, my 02 recently rolled past 197,000 miles!
Somewhere buried in the FAQ section there is a post by Weedahoe with links to our service manuals, and somewhere in that thread is a post for the 2002 year manual.

http://www.berrysprinter.com/e-fiche...02-05/02DR.PDF

That's a link I found a while back as well when I downloaded mine, not sure if it still works but it should download the PDF immediately if it does (it's a big file).

The service manual will give you all the info you need for the truck, it's quite detailed!
