I cannot get the lower strut bolt off, from the lower control arm on a 06 ram 4x4. Broke a impact socket trying. I used wd40 and also beat on it with a big hammer. Any tips on how to remove this bolt? My strut is leaking and i need to replace it.

Try this, it's off topic but part of his project is removing the strut.

A LOT of us have had trouble removing this bolt, you may want to buy replacements at the dealer and sawzall the bolts out.

Air hammer, heat, or a press. It took all 3 to get one of mine off. Remember, you cannot replace that particular bushing, short of replacing the whole control arm, so be nice to it.

 

I used a ball joint press and used a hammer on the end you tighten down after each time you torque up the press.
