Default halo projector..HHELP

I bought spyder halo led projector headlights for my '03 ram..I love them but the low beams are horrible. They probably project about 15 feet or less..I had to drive with just my fog lights without my headlights..has anyone else has this problem?

Yes. The ebay projector lights SUCK that badly. I went back to stock housings with Silverstar bulbs. I've never been happier!

That's what I was thinking of doing..I'm not happy with the quality of these at all..and if you want to return to stock, do you have to rewire everything or is it just plug and play.

Yep, just a couple of nuts and the wiring is plug and play. Silverstar bulbs cost around $50/pr but they are worth putting in while the lights are out of the truck.

Did you go with the HID versions? I JUST installed my HID Halos and love them. I also have HID Fogs, 27w LED Grille lights and 4 100w spots that I drive with.

I got the Spyder projectors for Christmas and mine were aimed straight to the ground from the factory. Pull the entire assembly out and there are two small nuts on the backside of the projector housing (maybe 10mm), loosen the one closest to the turn signal to raise the light, and loosen the other one to aim the beam to the driver side (That's from memory, don't hold me to it) I had to do at least 6 full turns on the nut to raise it up to the correct level and now they are awesome. Just make sure you aim them properly to not blind everyone else on the road

My Uncle put halos on his 04 and had to drive around with his brights on to see anything at night. He ended up ordering HIDs for them from the same company he bought the halos from and when we installed them found out that the low beams were weenie H1 bulbs. I have flashlights with bigger bulbs then that, I can't see how they are legal.

We always tell guys not to buy those but you guys wanna look so cool......

If you wanna look cool AND have good lighting then let me build you a set of custom lights

In the meantime, stop wasting money.

The very best lighting would be a bi-xenon projector retrofit into a stock housing. I've seen them sold for around $600/pr. I wouldn't mind making my own one day, as soon as I grabbed another set of stock lights to do it on anyway.

Yeah, not cheap but certainly the best.

New headlights, HID projectors, HID kit and projector shrouds will run $400 and up. Adding halos or LEDs, custom paint and other items adds to the price.
