Working on a 2003 Ram 1500 4X4, has stripped axle splines on right front where CV axle meets inner stub axle. Removed CV axle no problem, but can't get inner axle to pop out of diff. Did a search, saw some of you luckier guys had it come out with the CV, no such luck here. Made a collar with a set screw to put on stub axle, with a very large washer to protect the aluminium diff housing, and tried to pry it out. Clip won't let go. Tried to force a couple ball joint forks between the collar I made and the washer, tried a slide hammer with a hook on the end, bastid just won't let go. Any idea where to go from here?
