Camber/ Caster
I had a 2" Rough Country leveling kit and Rancho Shock's the 5000 put on my wife's 04 Dodge 1500 4×2. They mechanic said the truck had a bad tie rood on the passenger side. He also said he could not do the alignment with out buying a Dodge Camber/Caster kit. Has anyone had these installed on there truck and what does it do.
Here is a link for them... Have them on my 07 with the 2" spacers and same shocks. Hope this helps..

Now how in the f*ck can the mechanic say a close to eight year old truck was out of alignment from the factory? No offense, but your mechanic is an a$$hole.
It's the leveling kit that has the front end out to the point that you need the increased adjustability of an after-market kit.
If one tie rod end is shot, replace both because the other isn't far behind and you'd have to get an alignment all over again. Do them both at the same time...

Second that hammer.. I would check with a different place to get the alignment done. I live out in the country and had my alignment done at two different place and still had the toe out eating my new 20" tires up. Took it to the dealer with a 2 year old alignment machine and now it is on the money.
