Default sliding rear window yes or no

I made a too sharp a turn with my fifth wheel camper and damaged the right rear corner next to the back window. I didn't damage the rear window but they do have to take it out to repair the or shall i say replace that corner. Anyways since they have to take that glass out I was thinking of putting a slider window in. Is there any problems with them leaking or not sealing. Theres nothing wrong with the solid window thats in there I just thought I would change to a slider if I can find one priced right or even trade windows with some one I have A 2006 Hemi

Love having my sliding rear window. Never had any leak issues, makes for easy work hooking the trailer up a night, kick the rear cargo light on and back up. Well worth it IMO, I'm actually going to put an electric sliding unit in my 02 soon....

Not worth it to me. Mine came with a rear slider. A while back one of the neighborhood kids shot out one side with a bb gun, though i could never get one to own up to it. The price difference was such that it made me think and realize that i never opened the slider for anything anyway. Replaced it with a tinted solid window and havent missed the slider one bit. On the other hand, if i had a slider that wasnt broken, i would see no benefit to trading it out. No need to break that seal if you dont have to.

Good luck finding one worth having at a "decent price".

I haven't been a fan of sliding back windows since a local wrecker driver retrieved a set of keys that were locked in a truck in 3-4 minutes by removing the slding back glass. Other than that they would be OK.

I never use my rear slider either. Draws too much dust and leaves or whatever is in your bed up onto the dash. Sounds werd, but thats what happens.
Anyways, the rear slider is electric, you need a switch assembly, motor assembly and track assembly.
If you were to break just the center piece of the slider, you'd need to replace the entire window.
Guys have had issue's with the rear slider leaking because the drain holes are very small and would get clogged up from factory install by using too much rtv sealant I believe??
With all that said, a solid rear window doesn't cost you anything right now, but its replacement would be under $200. The rear sliding window is like $600 if I'm not mistaken!
