Default heat vent problem

hey guys, tried searching but i'm not sure if this is the usual blend door issue.

on my ram, the a/c works fine. however, in the colder months when the heat is on, i only get cool air blowing through the drivers side vents (top and floor). the passenger side vents blow nice and hot. what i usually do is close the driver vents and turn the passenger ones to face me when i'm driving.

anyone else know of a similar problem? is this the same blend door issue that plagues a lot of chrysler vechicles?

its an 03 4.7 quad cab 4x4, with about 99k miles. i've had it since 83k and i'm pretty sure it's always done this.

Yes that would probably be the blend door. I have the same issue and same truck. You should go with the metal heater treater door when you replace it if you want it to never happen again.
