Default Couple Issues- Ball Joints, Tie rod, Shocks

Ok SO my tuck was in an accident... Short story is a guy try to take the Shoulder to the next exit till he saw the cop 3 cars ahead of me when he hit his breaks ... lost control and hit me doing about 60... About $7000 worth of repairs later i have my truck back. Now that i have driven the new trucks as rentals... I know I need to do some work to make this beater ride like i want it to. So here is what i know needs to be done

Front Drivers side- BAll joints and tie rod- Pretty sure both need to be done because the tire moves laeft and right and top and bottom.

So my questions are:
1-Do you recommend a specific type or have any of you had better luck with one manufacturer or the other?
2- I know that at least the ball joints are bad and since I will have it apart I will do the outer tie rod... Is it worth it to remove anything else like the inner tie rods or the Shocks? I figure if i have it apart I might as well hit anything that might need to be done .
3- If i am replacing the shocks I rill be looking for a nice ride (this accident is forcing me to have a second back surgery),,, So feel free to make Suggestions.

I will be doing all work on my own.

Thanks in advance....
