Default Never Lowered, Only Lifted

Hey Guys,
I asked about this up in the Sticky(Lowered) and as of yet did not get a reply, so here goes again.
If I lower the rearend of my 2008 2WD QC with any of the available 2" shackles will I need to replace my Shocks or make any front end adjustments?
Just want to make it easier for some family members to get in and out of, without steps or running boards.
Thank ya'll in advance for your help.

Needing a little help!

No you do not need any special shocks or to do anything to the front end. It doesn't take long and is a pretty easy swap. Go for it!

Thank you bgbluram2. I think I will. I think it will look better leveled out.

Correct. You arent messing with the front end so no need to do anything to it at all. They make shocks for lowered trucks and eventually you may want to get some but stock shocks are fine for now.

After I lower it, how do I determine what size shocks I need? Do I remove the stock shocks and measure the distance between mounts?
Again thank you for the help.

Honestly if you are just wanting to replace them, anything around the same length of the stock shock will work. When i had lowering shackles on mine i ran my stock shocks and never had any problems and i hauled around a yamaha raptor every weekend.. Anything lower than 2 inches you will want to get some shorter ones.
