Default HID kit help?

hi, i have a 2003 ram 1500 and i am looking to convert my headlights and fog lights to HIDs. Im looking for a 6000k and a 35-55wt bulb but do not know what will be best.

Also, what type of bulb does the truck take? I'm seeing h1 and h3 and 9006 etcetc and I'm all confused..thanks for your help!

**edit** what do you guys would best on the fog lights with a 6000k headlamp?

If you have stock headlights. The bulb type your truck takes in the headlights are a 9007 bulb. Make sure you get a bixenon kit. This lets the bulb take advantage of the dual beam. Your fog lights are a 9006.There is alot of information on this around the forum. The kit on my truck is a 6000k 35w kit. You will need to get some 50w resistors and splice them into the hid harness. The HIDs only pull 35watts and will throw the bulb out indicator light. I have heard a 55w kit will burn your harness so i never tried getting one. That may not be true but it was something i wasn't going to risk. Hope i helped.

A 55w it wont burn the harness but pretty much all headlight retrofit use a relay to carry the load anyway.

We have a dedicated HID thread stickied at the top of the section.

I just so happen to have a set of brand new Morimoto projectors with Gatlin shrouds, demon eyes and 120mm 36 SMD LED rings that I bough to use in a retrofit for HIDs but went with a different set of projectors. If you are interested in them, LMK. Im likely going to put them up for sale soon

in the meantime, check that dedicated thread
