Default 06 Ram seat removal and install.

600.00 for dealer parts only to replace the worn fabric and foam on my drivers seat, I have started to look for a used drivers seat in med slat grey, or the whole 40 20 40 front seat in anothier color, My existing seats are non power and I have the wiring ,( or presume I do) but no fuses in the box where it says power seats.

Would be able to plug and play if I found power seats?

In case you are interested I have the OE rear slate gray 60/40 4-piece covers I am not using. They were removed and replaced with leather when the truck was new. PM me if you are interested.

131.00 bucks shipped to my door in US funds, found bottom seat cover at moparonline parts.com, the bottom foam can be had on ebay for arround a 100.00 bucks, vers 600.00 cdn at varsity chrysler in calgary for just the parts!!!!

I also think that the 06 ram 2500 seats to 2010 are the same, where as the 1500 Rams from 2009 don't use identical seats.

My concern when I do this repair my self is how preven the foam from falling apart, is thier anything I can put on the metal frame, like duct tape, dbbl sided tape, ect to lesson the wear down of the foam?

There's a DIY on the seat fix if you search. Basically just take a small hammer and round the sharp edges to stop the tearing of the foam. It shows how to repair the old foam but replacing its much faster.

Hi... Take all the measurements of the seat remove the old seat and replace a new one. Otherwise do minor repairs to the old seat.

I actually need a driver's side seat bottom cover in premium slate gray due to a few cuts in mine but can't seem to find one. Is that what you found on MoparOnlineParts.com? You wouldn't be able to sent me a link to it would you? That would be epic. $131 is a great price. The dealer quoted me like $250 or so for just that one piece.

I had a guy quote me $300 a seat just to take the leather off, replace foam, rework the metal a bit to prevent future wear, and put the old leather back on. This was a small company upholstery (1 or 2 guys, small shop). Says its lots of labor. Foam should be easy and cheap to get from just about anywhere. Stop by any Upholstery place or even a cushion factory and get the foam you need. You might have to cut to fit, but should be cheap.

It can't be that tough a job, even with my power heated seats? Dodge is out to lunch at that price.
