A garden hose is not madatory to do a flush. You can just fill the radiator with water using a bucket for the flush.

This is the only version of Pre-mix you can use in your truck: http://www.drillspot.com/products/35...freeze_Coolant But i would not waste your money on the pre-mix. You can buy full strength G-05 for less then $20.00 and dilute it yourself.

That is bizzare, considering it's the only coolant Chrysler uses in pretty much every car they currenty make.

Whoever you talked to should be fired. Color has NOTHING to do, at all with what coolant to use. And anybody who thinks that way knows nothing about engines and has no business working in the industry.

Case in point, Dex-Cool is Orange and H.O.A.T. is Orange and they are NOT compatible.

FF,

Hopefully you were not talking to someone in service. If you were, I would be looking for another dealer.

HOAT MUST be used in our trucks.
Also, HOAT has come in at least two colours that I have seen and used...Straw coloured yellow/amber and bright almost fluorescent red/pink.
Do it right the first time and forget about it.

Look on the package on the coolant.
Somewhere it should say G-05 and also somewhere Chrysler MS-9769.
If those numbers are there....it's HOAT coolant.
I've just been through all this over here in the UK, where my local Chrysler dealer due to the tie up with Fiat...has ran out of the stuff and it would have been months before getting it back in due to Fiat. I had to source another supply.
HOAT = Hybrid Organic Acid Technology and this coolant has an inhibitor package which is slightly different from traditional high-silicated green coolant, enough that it’s expected to provide double the service life, but is still compatible with traditional.
Hope this helps?
Al.
