Steering feels strange for about 3 days?

Same kind of feeling. Kind of tight and when you straightened it out by letting the steering wheel slide through you hand it was kind of jerky. Most noticeably at low speed. The old shock was leaking really bad though.

It almost seems we have the same issue. My shock is not leaking though. Why would that make it so stiff I would think loose??

Is there resistance all the time when turning? Is the resistance greater or lighter when on differant types of surface such as harder to turn on pavement but easier on gravel? When it is hard to turn, try giving it a touch of throttle to raise the rpm's. Is it easier to turn with the higher rpm's?

Replaced the gear box yesterday and that fixed the problem. Although now the steering is 1/4 turn more to the right than left. Also the steering wheel is cocked right now as well. I know the pitman arm is in the right spot but should I turn the gear box link? I would need to get an 1/8 of a turn on the spline not sure if the flats on the spline will line up with that small of a turn.
