Default 2004 1500 Light issues

I just bought a 2004 1500 with lighting issues. Shows lamp out on the dash, left headlight doesn't work at all and turn signals are malfunctioning. He said it was the fuse box needing to be replaced due to corrosion. Looks like a pretty common issue. Just seeing if anyone knows how to figure out whether its the pdc, fcm or both!

From the post I have seen the bottom of the fuse block corrodes and some guys clean it and getting it working others replace it if they can find one at a decent price

the fuse box in 499 new. Good luck I got mine from a yard, but even with matching part numbers all the options are not the same. It is tricky, but I did the swap. When I did, I lost my power mirrors and brake controller. I ran a circuit to get power to those items and all is well.

Good luck

Thanks for the replies guys. I decided to remove and clean the connections and noticed I could see the board was corroded through the holes in the bottom of the box. I carefully drilled out the three plastic welds and pried the case apart. I found two corroded spots on the printed circuit board. One not so bad, one right through. I soldered it up and now everything works

Awesome job. Glad you applied yourself. Unfortunately I was unaware of the ability to "Fix" it.

I hope it serves you well.......forever.
