Gen 3 newb. I'm looking at buying a 2003 quad cab with the Cummins. Question - Did all 2003's come with the non-HO engine? If not, is there an easy way to tell HO vs non-HO? Anything in particular I should be looking at (or wary of) for this truck model year? The trans is the auto. Thanks Gents.

 

If you look under the Ram sub forums, their is a dedicated Cummins forum. I would suggest posting there. Also, the Turbo Diesel Register forums are dedicated to those trucks 100% and worth a visit.

 

The HO didnt come out until 04.5 so an 03 will be a non-ho. The valve covers have a lable on them 305hp=non-HO, 325=HO
