Default bottom radiator hose cold... is this normal?

all other hoses get hot except the very bottom one. Just wondering if this is normal for these trucks. 2003 Dodge Ram 1500. 4.7L

Samething happens with mine, 2002 same engine. I even have a headlight wire wrapped around it (assuming your talking about the one going along the frame piece behind the grill), and it has no signs of burns or anything, after 3 months.

If your bottom radiator hose is the one that draws coolant from the radiator to the engine (it is on my 5.9) then I'd say it's normal. That's the hose that has the coolant that has already cooled down from traveling thru the radiator.

Depends on what you call "cold". The radiator can't take enough heat out to make the hose cold.
