Default Need CAI help!

Ok, I took the hemi hat off, got two 3in 90 bends, and a 3ft piece of PVC. Now I need something to hold it sturdy and a hose and clamps for the the PVC to TB mounting. Now the TB measures 3.5in outside diameter and PVC's flared end is 4in so I ordered a hose and clamp for that, unless I need to go another route. I could cut the flared end but it'll be harder to clamp it to the PVC and TB because I'll be cutting into the PVC bend. Just need a little help.

You need to get a 3" Rubber plumbing boot (comes with 2 clamps ) for about $8...and return one 3" 90 for a 3" 90 "street bend" elbow (smooth on one side flared on the other) $6. Connect that to the rubber boot and the rubber boot to the throttle body. The only cutting you should do is on the 3" straight pipe.
Now get to work on that "crappy" CAI LOL

You can cut a small piece of your straight PVC pipe and glue it into your 90 and that should make it easier to connect your tb to it. Just fit the straight pipe into the flare and measure an extra 1.5" or so to have something solid to screw your coupling to. Don't forget a small breather filter to replace the crank case vent pipe you will no longer be using.

That link help a lot along with the replies! I had already measured, cut and sealed it with PVC glue. I'll have to break the 90 off and use the street bend one and get the coupling today.

If your going out get 1- dip stick grommet for a GM Part#65113 found at Auto parts in the HELP section (for the IAT sensor) Drill a hole in the elbow with a 5/8 drill and pinch the grommet in. The sensor will fit in nice and tight.

Happy Modding

Well, I bought all the stuff I need, but I'm going to clean the TB first and replace the plugs.
