Default Rotor/caliper problems

My front passenger brake caliper froze up and is causing it to get fire hot. I took it into the dealership to have it fixed but of course the extended warranty claims to only cover the caliper but not the rotor if it is damaged. Has anyone had this similar problem? If so did it damage the rotor and how much did it cost to repair it. I didn't drive on it long if that helps.

If it got that hot it is probably warped and will shudder when braking. I would probably just replace the rotor(s) but NOT with the Mopar units. The quality/level of upgrade would be determined by your driving style and requirements.

That's what I assumed. Maybe with a little luck I can raise enough hell that the warranty will cover the rotor since it would be the calipers fault that it got destroyed.

I just had a caliper completely seize up on my Grand Cherokee a couple of months ago, so bad I couldn't get it to release and had to remove it to get home.
Scored the sh*t out of the rotor and crumbled the pads.

I decided to do caliper/rotors/pads on both back sides. Autozone parts (lifetime warranty on everything) cost me $302 after tax and took me about an hour a side to change out...

From the looks of it thats what I will be doing. Since the Warranty will cover the Caliper, I will just get them to replace that and leave the pads and rotor alone and do that part myself.

Question need some serious help!!!

ok so my dodge is a 1998 dodge dakota sport club. it has a 3.9L and it's a v6. now when i bought her, i was told she had a brake situation. that the brakes worked, but the right side front brake needed pins. come to find out both sides of my front brakes needed new guide pins. now after bleeding both front and back brakes, and fixing the pins, here is my issue. i'm still not getting my brake pedal pressure, or even much of brake pressure. i have just enough to come to a stop, but not an immediate stop. here's the kicker, my check gauges light comes on if i make a turn. my oil level seems to be normal and my brake fluid is full. HELP PLEASE!!!!
