Ok so I'm lookin to trade in my 1500 on a 2500 HEMI. The truck I have my eye on and hope to get still has the stock tailpipe on it. What is a good aftermarket pipe to get? Would the nice MBRP tailpipes work on the gas version of the 2500 or would I need to find something else?

 

Are you talking about the tail pipe itself or the exhaust system

 

Well...the whole exhaust system...I'd wanna get something that is going to get me some better mileage as well as sound nice and loud...I have straight pipes on my 1500 right now and Im over those...I'd like to just get a single pipe coming out of the back right that sounds and looks good...as well as getting some better mileage if possible...any ideas?

 

more mileage might be a stretch but you could easily do a cat back system with a magnaflow.
im not a flowmaster fan myself but for whatever reason, every vehicle i buy someone already has one on.
the more exhaust you replace with new the better of you will be really. go with a new y into 3" and high flow cat, muff, and finally a nice tail to exit wherever you want.

 

Just ditched my cat back flowmaster for magna flow, much better product, sounds better, no drone. I have not done the y pipe.
