I bought the specter cone filter from my local auto store for my 5.7 they had a much bigger one same brand on the shelf , just wondering if i should have got the bigger one? My buddy just bought some kit for his silverado and has the bigger one. I know its completely different animal under the hood but his is no where near at loud as mine at WOT kinda making me think im trying to suck a huge amount of air through too small of a filter

 

If you are talking about a cone filter element, then it doesnt matter as long as it physically fits in the engine bay
