Default What tranny do I have???

I just bought a 2004 Ram 1500. It is SLT model, 2dr, 2wd with the 5.7L hemi in it. I just bough the SC Cortex and it should be showing up this week. I have researched online and am hoping I am correct. I found that with my model, year ect that I have the 5-45RFE Auto tranny. Is this correct? I dont want to buy the tranny tune if I dont have to.

Yep that's your transmission. Even so a lot a folks state a 100% night and day difference when unlocking the SC3865 or Cortex custom transmission options. Might take a bit to get it dialed in but look out.. So i have read anyway.

LOL I think that is what they are called. The truck came with them. I can see the badge but not read it 100%. So that is what I came up with. They are def dyno something headers. I guess I dont have the right name

Ya Dynatech looks like what the badge says. Its hard to read tho. I am only 5'8" coming from a lowered honda civic. So this is a big step up for me. I have trouble seeing into the engine bay. I should take some pics. The person who put them on def didn't cheap out thats for sure. Full exhaust and everything. The Gibson exhaust is sick. I really love the sound it makes. But yep you are correct they def are the Dynatech. They look just like these

The Dynatechs are the "golden child" of headers...

Well that is good to hear. How about the Gibson exhaust? I have also heard a lot of good things about them. Main reason I bought the truck is b/c it had everything aftermarket on it that I wanted. And it was all high end stuff. The CAI is the brute force $300. The Gibson side exhaust is $550 and the headers are around $700. Thats a good amount of money into the truck already. Now just waiting for my cortex and im good for the most part. Thanks for the help guys. Glad I joined here

Does the Gibson exit before or after the rear tire? I ran the Gibson Supertruck for a few years and loved it. Very unique sound with a nice visual of the tips before the rear pass tire. Removed it though when i went Long Tubes since i wanted to lean towards a full 3" single setup.

Your truck mods kinds of reminds me of what mine looked like in 08 when i started getting more into mods.

2" drop shackles with long tubes and cat back and thought i was done.

Went to a few GTGs and its been downhill since then lol
