Does the third gen have a cabin filter. I believed the answer was no, but Geno's garage sells them

Correct, there is no factory air filter, those aftermarket ones go up in front of the windshield at the air intakes. But these are just replacement filters. You would need the kit:

Damnit you rock Hammer

Is it worth it? Having filters is a double sided sword. Having them means you need to change them periodically. Not having them means you dont. It isnt like I ever got a dust cloud inside the truck from being in the dirt.

Specifically it isnt a recirculation filter, but just a fresh air filter. Sounds useless to me??

So what is the point. Advice?

I don't have one. Have a good buddy with an '06 Hemi who did buy the kit and swears by it. They guy has real bad hay fever and says he can tell a big difference. I never saw the need...
