So i found that the 2004 5.7 radiator is a exact fit. The only thing I would have to deal with is putting a aftermarket overflow tank and washer fluid tank.

Please do. When I see a 4.7s temp gauge in that area I get chills. I ended up using a 1 row on my truck because it was all I could find at the nearest parts store 50 miles away from where I work, and where my rad finally blew up. It never goes over half now, normal is just a hair under the halfway hash mark.

So your truck was doing the same exact thing mine is doing?

What all did you replace in the cooling system besides the radiator?

It has always sat just before middle while traveling, at a light it would creep up to the middle. A week or so before the radiator gave way, it started reading like your pictures except at idle from a cold start. The only other thing I replaced was the thermostat the same time I replaced the radiator, and a few months after that was the degas bottle that was leaking from the seam the cap snaps onto. That started leaking after I changed the spark plugs the first time I did them, probably from my fat *** leaning on it to reach the back plugs on the passenger side.

I think my dgas bottle might be leaking. I am getting air into my system some where but I can not find it yet. I guess I will replace the radiator when it gets here on monday and hope for the best. I bought a new coolant temp sensor. But the thing was a PIA to get off sense there is no room to get too it. So I have not messed with it yet.

I am hoping it not a head gasket. I have no signs of a head gasket besides milky resido in the oil cap but my oil is clean. I guess the milky crap is in most dodges.

So im hoping for the best with this new radiator.

Anyone know where to get a dual core radiator (besides the dealer) for a 2002 4.7L 4x4 ??? Mine died on the way to work on Friday..... it was a pitiful sight.

I couldnt find one in time so I had to buy a single core.

The only way you can get a 2 core from what I was reading is getting from from a 04-06 and you have to relocate the degas to a aftermarket one. And remove the fan shroud.

So I just didnt want to spend any extra money because if I was going to do that I would get a e fan and the whole swap was going to be around $300 just not worth it right now and I dont have time sense I have to take a trip next week.

Got the new radiator in today. And my temp does not climb at all stay below the middle line and sometimes even goes a 1/4 away from the middle stays nice and cool.

So i am so happy that its not a head gasket or anything like that just a really clogged up radiator.

So if anyone is having this problem. Replace your radiator first then look at the head gasket.

Just too recap I flushed the rad 3 times replaced the therostat and it did nothing at all. So I replaced the radiator and it fixed my problem.
