I get a popping noise from the dash when A/C turns on?
I get a popping noise coming from the dash area once I turn the A/C on, its just a quick POP noise and It goes away right away, could it be something with my flaps? My pass. side vents have issues which it doesnt blow cold when A/C is on but blows cold on the drivers vents
I had the same issue, thankfully at the time it was still under warranty. It was one of the doors popping off the stop. Mine eventually snapped and fell down into the blower motor.
The Heeter Treeter kits are the way to go. I plan on doing all mine this summer.

UPDATE: Turns out I was low on A/C FREON. I read somewhere that if A/C blows cold on the (2) drivers vent and warmer on the (2) pass vents that its b/c of low freon, I charged it today and WOW... ICE COLD A/C Blows on both, I still have some blend door issue, but I dont get the popping noise anymore for some reason so theres no reason to touch the blend door, since it all works good now.
I know this is an old post, but I am also having this problem that has started just recently... I am going to try to charge the A/C, does anyone know what the recommended Charge for 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn w/ 5.7L Hemi is?
I know its R-134A but does anyone know what the charge is supposed to be? (before I go look all over under the hood for this info.)
Also which valve is the charging valve on the 5.7L Hemi?
Any help is appreciated!

Dude....it's on the rad support. 2 lbs unless Dodge changed it.
And it's the low side line by the accumulator. Unless Dodge changed it.

I've been trying to find the charge amount in the service manual but I can't seem to find the section where it tells you what the charge is supposed to be.
I believe most a/c equipment will not even fit the highside line.
It looks like one of the adaptor valves we use at work will fit... Haven't gone to try yet... I want to make sure I have all the info before I dive in head first...
