Default 2006 ram 2500 radio bad

I found a guy who has the stock radio from a 2007, one year newer than mine. Does anyone know if this will fit/work for my truck. Need a replacement since the 06 simply doesn't work. Dodge Rep words.

Thanks,
Marc

The Dodge RAM HD trucks are usually a year behind the 1500 when it comes to getting all the new RAM upgrades, but I think that all of the RAMs were upgraded to CANBUS in 2006. This would mean any radio from a 2006-2008 1500 or 2006-2009 2500/3500 would work. However, if you want to be sure, post up a pic of the radio and we can determine if your radio is a part of the 3rd gen CANBUS system or not. Or just post the model, eg: RAQ, REC, etc.

I have the stock radio out of my truck. In the garage on the shelf, I can snap a few pics if you need

Chuck,

Post the part number which should be listed on the back or side of the radio as well and I can tell you all the years it will fit.
