Does my 9/03 dodges hemi have the weak springs , any idea how to find out . And if so do I replace them all with 6.1 exhaust springs ? Thanks for any and all help
More info it's a 2004 dodge qc 1500 4x4 5.7 hemi .
Production date of 9/ 03
I want to avoid the common so I read problem of broken valve springs on 03 hemi's .
Not sure if I need to worry, also if I do what make / model of 6.1 springs do I order? Thanks again !!!
I have about 120,000 on my original springs, which won't get replaced until I put in my cam. You will need 16 6.1 exhaust springs, these will replace your stock 5.7 intake and exhaust springs.
Most guys you see with broken valve springs are on the 03/04s but thats not to say ALL 03/04s will have this issue.
(16) 6.1 exh springs will work on any 5.7 HEMI. I did a full cam swap thread in the FAQ that shows you how to change them if you want to do it yourself.
