Plus if I did make something that would be straight up redneck lookin on this truck imo. Now if this was an old offroader that's a different story. I wish I could afford a ranch hand bumper but I'm a senior in high school...

I don't wana buy a new one, is there anything else thats cool that I can put on the front? Btw can someone post a link to how to install 4 hella 500's behind the grille? I know theyres tons on installing 2 lights, but I want 4.

 

I agree. Paper thin and rusting..... I think you'd be spending more time and money than it's worth repairing something that is broke and will break again, plus it wont look as good either.
I'd get a stainless bar and maybe have it powerdercoated or scuff it down yourself and Plasti-dip it if you like th black look better. That way you wont have to deal with rust and thinning of the metal again and you'll have your black bar!

Something just arent worth fixing...

4 lights is no different than 2 other than the guage of wiring and using higher rated fuse/relay combo.
Honestly, 2-100W Hellas are going to be WAY brighter than 4-55w Hellas! The light concentration allows the beam to go much further.
If you went with 4-55w Hellas, you can follow my sig link you can achieve the same results. No ned to change any internal wiring, just the wiring leading up to the lights. You would want to use 2 relay and just tie them together. If you need more help PM me.

 

I know a couple of guys with the Hunter Accessories Bull Bar (ebay), actually helped put one on a Cheby truck and a Grand Cherokee. One was black powdercoat and the other stainless. They are NOT expensive at all and the tubing is actually VERY thick, a lot thicker than most.

I'm currently looking all over for a used one or one off a wreck (that didn't get hit in the front obviously) to weld a 2" square pipe onto to mount on the front receiver of my Jeep and replace the light bar I made.

I'm too cheap to buy new just to cut and weld on it, but I've got my eyes out. They make two versions of the bull bar and I really like the look of this one:




As far as going with 4 Hella 500s, there is no need to go with two relays as long as you keep them stock (55 watt). They will only pull a little over 18 amps total for all four. You can easily use one 30A fuse and one standard 40A relay.

Thats a pretty cool Bull bar Hammer. Do you think it'd be difficult to build something like a push bar? And thanks for the info on the lights fellas

 

If you have the tooling and the time you could fix it yourself. I would strongly recommend taking a torch to as cold working it may cause it to break, though watch the amount of heat you put to as it may upset. Another choice is just weld an extention to the push bar and weld it to the frame...

 

U dont need it get rid of it. build or buy a better one. sorry but the one u have looks ugly anyways, the one hammer showed is 10 times better.
