Default pac C2R CHY4 Wiring

I just bought a kenwood single din deck for my 07 Ram Sport with the Infinity system. I was trying to decipher the online instructions for the wiring harness of the PAC interface. Is there any special connections that need to be made or is this thing plug and play. I've done dozens of stereo installs, but this one is making me nervous. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Also, if I get the SWI-Jack, how hard is that to wire up?

I just did this on my 2006 Sport with Infinity. If you search on Google there is a great thread on one of the Caliber site detailing connections, but even without it, it is pretty straight forward. Just to connect the radio harness to the c2r-chy4 and plug it in.

Pay attention to the Blue and blue/white wires on the package harness, they connected to the Blue wire on my deck, this turns the amp on with the deck power. Other than that str8 forward.

You really shouldnt even need that thing for a subwoofer with an aftermarket deck, It should have subwoofer RCA pre-amp outs and all you need to tap into is the amp turn on wire (usually blue) and run it back to the sub amp.

SORRY EDIT AGAIN. I was looking at the part number from your other post. You have me confused lol. The C2R-CHY4 looks a little intimidating.

Yeah Weed, the new Kenwood has a wirelesss remote. I like the steering wheel option, but think I'll wait and see if I can live without it. I can always add it later. Besides, It looks like programming the SWI JACK can be a pain in the butt. With the replacement of the factory deck, can I upgrade the other speakers with 2 or 3 ways as opposed to the factory P.O.S's?

If you have the stock Infinity, replacing the speakers with after markets can be an issue because of how the OEM amp separates and sends certainly frequencies to certain speakers. So if you add a 2/3 way in the door where the amp only sends low freq, well, you see the problem with that

What would you recomend? I realy don't want to splice the amp harness after the amp. If I ran speaker wire to all four doors right off the new deck instead of through the factory amp, then I'd lose the 3 speakers in the dash correct? How much of a difference would it make sound wise if I got nice speakers for the doors? I could go with components I guess. UGH! Stupid infinity system. Too many questions!

Also, if you could close the add an amp post that would be great. I don't want to bounce between the two. Thanks.
