The leveling kits utilize the stock struts. If you don't already have the leveling kit then you can do bilstein 5100s and those adjust up to 2" and you can be level with improved struts.

You don't need new shocks. When the OEMs wear out, get a stock replacement (I used Monroe Reflex).

I'm not sure which shocks you do need but you do need to replace your OEM ones unlike what the guy said above me it's not about wearing out shocks but wearing out other parts in your front end and steering, I just bought Skyjackers H7092 for my 2 inch leveling but those won't probly won't fit your truck so go to summitracing.com and look up your truck then shocks and they have different brand including the ones your looking for then in addition information part of the part your looking at it will explain if it's for a lift/lower of your truck

Incorrect. 4x2 does not use struts, thus the Bilstein leveling struts are for '06-08 4x4 ONLY.

OP:
You don't have to purchase new shocks. You can use the stock shocks with a shock extender added to the top. If you want new shocks, which I would recommend anyway, call up 4 wheel parts and ask for the Pro Comp part number for stock +2". Their website is overly confusing, so I'd recommend calling over trying to figure it out online. I'd give you the part numbers from mine, but I threw away the boxes before recording the numbers off them.
