Default 03 RAM 1500 2WD 2.5" Lift and Shocks

I basically threw these on this weekend.

Threw in? I wish ... was a bit more of a pain that anticipated, but nonetheless, they're in, truck sits nice and level and the ride isn't bad at all. Seems about the same.

My questions is, because it's lifted about 2-2.5" should worry about new shocks. I've contemplated getting 2500 2WD shocks as they're a little longer - but would the extra length cause the upper A arm to hit the frame or does anybody have any issues with that?

Alignment, well, I need new tires, ball joints yadda so I'll get all that done later. So far, It rides pretty straight puling ever so slightly to the right ... of course, could be the road, too - our roads are a little rounded for drain off I suppose.

Unless your shocks are bad, you don't need to replace them. When it comes time to replace them, you can use the stock size.

You do need to get an alignment. Unless you want to buy tires sooner, go ahead and get the alignment done.

Thanks, Mike. It rides fine the way it is and don't notice anything out of the ordinary other than it looks so much nicer leveled.

Just out of curiosity .. I looked up some specs on like models of some Monroe shocks. To be safe, looks like the 4WD 1500 shocks would be a good "cushion" with the lift ... when the time comes The 2500 mounting seems a little different, but should still work. Any thoughts? Note, I just picked a model of Monroe for comparison purposes.

I did a 2 1/2" level on mine in '07. Just changed the shocks to Monroe Reflex last year @ 111K.
