electrical trouble

Exclamation electrical trouble

ok on my spark plug no power post the other day one of the sugestions was to unhook the battery for a couple hours, i did that and i dont notice any difference BUT now my outside thermometer its stuck on 65 (when its 85 out) and i reset my clock after hooking up the battery and then this morning it was back to 12am again when i started the truck... anybody know why this is? thanks

Resetting the computer will not make a non-firing plug come to life. The only thing disconnecting the battery did was erase your radio presets and reset the clock. The outside temp sensor will recover after a day or so.

A non-firing plug is likely the plug itself or the coil pack. Unless you have a lot of miles piled on, I'd be surprised at either.

i know it wont fix a mechanical defect but i was reading about lack of power and possible 02 sensors or other electronics causing the severe lack of power and bad mileage.
