Default Dome Light or Cargo Light tapping

Howdy yall. I have a 2006 Dodge 1500 and i just recently bought the Recon Big Rig Ice light bars for my truck. I know how to do the simple wiring to the headlight and blinker but there is another wire that i need to tap into so that the light bar lights up white when i open the door or unlock my truck. Is there any way any of yall can help me find one of these wires? Thanks.

If it's on the rear like mine, it should just plug into the four pin connector. That covers brakes, running lights, and each turn signal.

It would be overkill to run wires all the way up to the headlights.

The white LEDs need to be wired into the reverse lights, but I'm sure you could pick up a second power source like the cargo light.

Why do you want the whites to lights up with the remote unlock function?

He is asking about the big rig lights that mount beneath rockers, not the tail light bar.

Sorry I can't help but wanted to clarify.

Usually the dome wire is behind the drivers side A pillar. Take it down and use a volt meter to test the wires with the door opened amd closed to find the correct wire
