2500 miles without exception in ALL my vehicles (except race cars). Imho, the cheapest (still), easiest, surest insurance one can have, despite notions to the contrary.

All the best.

The new Mobil oils will allow for oil changes at 15K.

I doubt that Dodge would agree.

I aim to have mine done at 4,000 but will not go past 5,000. I use Moble one (BLUE CAP) and have been useing it since the first 500 miles. I have over 75,000 miles on her without skipping a beat.

I'm with Avanti. I'd rather change the oil more often, and keep the sludge from building up. So, far over the years, the practice has paid off.

Yeahh If I was useing Conventional oil I would do the same... but since Im useing Synthetic oil... It does not SLUDGE up like the DINO oil. It keeps everything nice and clean. After more than 75,000 miles on synthetic I have had the entire fron of the moter off to include valve covers... NO SLUDGE what so ever.... everything has a nice clean with a nice light gold tint. So if your useing the conventional oil 3,000 miles tops.... but the synthetics last MUCH MUCH LONGER... I just have not had the curage to extend much past 5,000 miles with it..

Here in the Netherlands we change oil not that often.
At mij other car(peugeot) it wil stay in for 19.000 miles(30.000km).
In the Hemi i changed it every 9.000miles(15.000km).

Direct from Mobil's website. There new line of extended performance oils protect for 5000, 7500 or even 15000 (see below)

Mobil 1 Extended Performance :
You've never seen an oil like this before. Mobil 1® Extended Performance is a new high-endurance motor oil with 36 percent more anti-wear additives and 37 percent more cleaning agents than current Mobil 1 formulations. It is a fully synthetic formulation that helps extend engine life, reduce oil breakdown and minimize engine wear -- all while helping to keep your engine clean. Improvements that add up to exceptional protection for 15,000 miles. Guaranteed.

Now, I subscribe to the method of oil changes every 3000 miles but, these synthetics would definitely be something to look into.

IMO it's not worth the possibility of a warranty battle with Dodge to use extended interval oils. Mobile 1 had the same "guarantee" 12 years ago, when I first started using it but for some reason quit. I would suspect now they still have a fine print disclamer that tells you to follow your vehicle manufactures recommended change interval. Some manufactures let you go that long between oil changes. I had an foriegn vehicle that recommended 15000 mile oil changes with a filter change every 7500.
