7 pin trailer brake power

Default 7 pin trailer brake power

I have a 2008 1500 with factory trailer package/class iv hitch,there is no power at the bumper 7 pin on the trailer brake lug.???????????everything works except the trailer brakes when I plug in the trailer??????????????

This may be a silly question, but do you have a trailer brake controller installed in the truck? If so re-check all the wiring.

I'm wondering the same thing. Seems logical the power would come from a controller.

I PM'ed you the wire diagram.

I also stated you need a controller for the brakes to work!
