Default brakes

I just changed my front brake pads now I hear a high pitched squeel when I stop is it the new pads or do could it be the rear ones I put the rear ones on bout a year ago

Did you use an anti squeal compound on the back of the new pads? This is a pretty common issue with new pads.

Yeah, brake grease is good to use. Some semi metallic pads just make more noise than others. Thus why I like ceramics

No I didnt guess thats what I get for doing a quick cheap job how long will this squealing go on thank

I have used the CRC brake quiet stuff and it seems to be working good. Got it at autozone and its holding up pretty good.

Did u resurface the rotors too or replace them? ur just gonna have to figure out where the noise is coming from if its the rear or the front first. have someone stand out side the truck and help u listen to determine where the noise is coming from.

ff2011, Hard to say,it may not go away.Better to just get the spray.Unfortunately this means pulling your wheels/pads off again.
