Default Exhaust, stock manifold back diameter?

Hey guys, I'm wondering what the stock pipe diameter is from the manifold/cats back to the y-pipe, is it a 2.25 or 2.5? On a 2006 ram or equivalent.

I'm inclined to say 2.25 now aswell, got a set of those Gibson log style headers, and the ball flange on them seems to be 2.25 since a straight, unflanged 2.5 pipe fit around the ball.

Any "exhausty" people know the best way to attach 2.5 pipe to 2.25 header flanges in a super tight place?

edit, i just realized the 2.5 pipe I was using was 2.5 ID, so a 2.5 OD pipe should fit decently when balled out a bit.
