Ring gear bolts broken 2007 1500 2WD
Hello,
New to this forum but not to Ram trucks. This is my second one I have owned new. Two days ago at 36,090 miles 7 bolts holding the ring gear sheared off and took off some teeth from the tone ring & damaged the ABS sensor.
The Dodge dealer I bought it from is the only one who ever serviced it but of course they say it is out of warranty. I am trying to resolve a solution with Dodge directly.
Any idea how these bolts could self destruct and who is responsible for this? By the way this is the 5.7 HEMI with 3.55 ratio.
