That sneaky bolt is mounted to the transmission and goes down through the rubber part of the crossmember...thats why you cannot see it. The hole is probably oval shaped which is why side-side movement is possible and front-back is not!
At this point, it's easiest to remove the transmission. It really is. It'll be out of the way and free of any disturbances. If the engine is going to come out, it might be easier to remove the engine than the trans, but if you do both, your only talking about 1hr extra time at this point since you already removed driveshaft, unbolted crossmember...etc.
