Engine / trans removal

That sneaky bolt is mounted to the transmission and goes down through the rubber part of the crossmember...thats why you cannot see it. The hole is probably oval shaped which is why side-side movement is possible and front-back is not!

At this point, it's easiest to remove the transmission. It really is. It'll be out of the way and free of any disturbances. If the engine is going to come out, it might be easier to remove the engine than the trans, but if you do both, your only talking about 1hr extra time at this point since you already removed driveshaft, unbolted crossmember...etc.

The engine IS coming out, as soon as i get it separated from the transmission and figure out the right size fuel line tool to disconnect the flex line from the rail. Those are the only two things holding me back right now.

I used a 3/8" fuel line/ A/C disconnect tool to pull my fuel line off.

Thanks.... I know that one is in the set I borrowed... Hopefully, the rain will subside long enough for me to get that one off my list of things that need to be done.

10-4 on the 3/8 quick disconnect on the fuel rail. Its also the same for the trans oil lines
