4WD issues

That guy doesn't sound too knowledgeable. I think you need to try another dealership if possible, or get friendly with a 4x4 shop. At least see if an independent will give an opinion/ride along. Otherwise, tell your current guy since its no skin off his nose, ride along again and get him to replace the auto-locking hubs this time.

One final update on this issue
After having my truck at the dealership for another 2-1/2 weeks, and getting Dodge headquarters and the regional rep involved, I have my truck back.
After repeated calls to Dodge, they assured me that the dealership was working with the engineers to find the problem.
They now tell me the truck is fine, and the issues are all tire related. Dodge HQ is relaying to me that it is due to the tires being different model and tread depth.
My front driver is a Goodyear Tracker 2, 3/16" tread depth.
The front passenger is a Goodyear Tracker, 5/16" tread depth.
Rear driver is Goodyear Tracker, 1/4" tread depth.
Rear passenger is Goodyear Tracker 2, 5/32" tread depth.
Anybody feel that this is enough of a difference to keep it locked in 4WD? If tires were the issue all along, why did they replace the transfer case?
