Cai bog?
Hey everyone, this is my 1st time on this forum so if this topic has already been addressed I apologize.
I have a 08 Ram QC 4x4. I recently put a K/N CAI and a SC tuner on it. The problem I'm having is there a big bog/hesitation when you kick it down. I've tried a few different tunes with the programmer and nothing changes, so I'm thinking its all the CAI. Assuming I'm right, what's the fix???? Truck runs great and when the rpm's climb it really works well. Just trying to get rid of the annoying hesitation?

Unless the CAI was installed incorrectly, I can't see how it would be causing your problem. Increased airflow if anything, should help throttle response.
My guess is your throttle body is gummed up and needs cleaning. Have you been cleaning it every 30k miles?
Also, with "fly-by-wire" throttle bodies, grounding them has proven to help throttle response - big time...

I didn't realize you needed to clean throttle body. I'll try that and see what happens. What would you suggest to clean it?
When you punch it there is about a 2sec hesitation then it takes off. Never noticed this when it was stock.

Check the clamps on the intake and make sure there is nothing blocking or suffocating the intake..to clean the throttle body just remove it and spray carb cleaner on the butterfly valve to remove any carbon buildup. This is normal and like Hammer stated it should be done about every 30,000 miles
