Default Drone gone after mod on exhaust

Hey guys i thought i would post this for anyone that hates drone in there exhaust.

i just had a catback done on my truck and it sounds great except for the 1300 to 1700 rpm range it would drone pretty bad thats city cruising speed for me.

so i took it back to Muffler shop and had them install 2 branch resonators that are Adjustable from 24 inches to 38 inches it is set at 28 right now and the drone is gone.

all they did was cut hole into tail pipes right behind muffler and weld in pipe running back over muffler it works just need to tune it in to perfect length.

This is before branch resonators and a very cool day of 75f

This is after branch resonators are on and its a very hot day 103f

As you can hear it is way more quiet in the cab

Not sure what year you have, but i simply left the stock resonator in place ahead of the muffler. Solves the drone and costs nothing in parts or labor.

Where is the muffler mounted at. Alot of times if you have a glasspack or muffler somewhere under the cab youll get that drone.

The muffler is way back under bed of truck, far from cab.
