I know this has been posted other places. My tranny wont go in reverse. I had done some research, on possible reasons for this. Here's the thing I was wondering. I was rear ended on Monday. A little s10 decided to run into me going 55. Anyways the question is could a sudden jolt like this possibly cause the trans to start messing up. Reverse was working fine until Friday.

 

it could have something to do with it but no real way of knowing. Can you let the insurance cover it?

I'm going to try and see if they will cover it. I just wasn't sure if it was just coincidence or if the accident had something to do with it
