I ran redline in my manual trans and lsd on my turbo rx7, its good stuff if you ask me. Not quite as overpriced as royal purple.

Ya I was going to get royal purple or Lucas racing but I seen the redline and it's synthetic and has Limited slip additive in it and price is about $7 less a quart than royal purple

That is essentially GL-6 and they are one of the very few companies who make it. GL-5 is used widespread and is considered suitable for any gear style that are made these days. GL-6 is made with additional anti-scuffing properties for high pinion offsets. The gears in cars/trucks today are not considered high offset to require GL-6 so its not marketed. It won't improve the heat dissapation, but will improve surface wear.
