2002 Ram Sport. 4.7, 82K miles. Doesn't get used often, bought used, never had a problem. Drove her yesterday to change the tire on momma's Journey. When leaving, engine would crank, no ignition. All the lites and chimes seemed to be normal. Just no spark. Pulled battery lead, and reset (to reboot confuzer). No difference. Couldn't leave her in the lot where she died, towed her home. Boy1 unlocked steering column, to push her farther in. He turned the ignition all the way, and she started. And repeatedly afterwards.
Anyone got an idea where to start looking?

You should be able to cycle the ignition 3 times w/o starting to see if any codes come up. It could be 1000 differant things on these new "confuzer" controlled engines. Was the engine warm when you tried to restart it? Could be a weak battery from not being driven much or possibley a crank/camshaft sensor.

okay. simulated it 2x more. seems when she gets to operating temps, it wouldn't restart, till it cools.
bought a code reader,,,,,,,, got #P1391 - interim loss of cmp/ckp
# P0349 - camshaft position sensor.
Chilton's book says really nothing.

Hopefully that will take care of the problem and its not too much of a job. Im not real fimiliar with the 4.7 but it shouldnt be any harder than a 5.7
